drive-by spamming

Today in the Safeway parking lot while examining some dents in a coworker's car, we had a drive-by spamming. A car driving by slowed down to ask, "you want me to fix any of that body work?" "CiAlis, please your woman" "Greetings you have won the international lotto" "viAGra madOnna has some" "buy cheap ROlex watch"

Everyone seems to have had babies recently (except me, yay!!). My friend Melynda just popped out her third girl (Leah), V's step brother just had his first baby boy (Blaze), and here is another email I got about a recent birth:
this is a pic of Faith's friend Lucia's new baby...I will remind you,
Alexandra is a GIRL, not an old Italian man named Al who runs a
pizzeria..

My college roommate just had a baby, named her Alice Leah, went with Alice because Leah sounded too Jewish. (He's Jewish, but said those names sound too Old Country for him.) So, the owner of the pizzeria is Jewish -- who knew?

Random tidbit, Jon Stewart's last name is not his real name. He was born Jon Stuart Liebowitz.

I had someone ask me about fixing a dent in my car once. In a parking lot, even. He only wanted twenty bucks. I had him go ahead and he did a good job with it, although he didn't address the actual repainting. It gets you about 80% of the way to a repair. Maybe now, those guys can do even more. I think it's actually a pretty good deal since they don't have the overhead of a retail location (or licensing or bonding or taxes or....)

So why do spammers capitalize random leters within words?

Are they indicating where you should place the accent should you verbalize their subject lines? Or, have all spammers simply spilled molasses on their keyboards.

Are spam filters really so primitive that they are fooled more often by capital letters than lowercase letters?

These are the days of our lives.
