just wait until Vader gets home!

So, on Saturday night one of the couples we were hanging out with was talking about their 'blended family' and how they think that the kids calling the step dad by his first name doesn't instill a sense of authority, but of equality. Well of course they couldn't have them call him 'dad' because they have a dad, so they went through other languages to try to come up with an alternative. One of the ones they considered was 'Vader'. Could you imagine? "Kids, from now on, you need to call your stepfather 'Lord Vader.' !!! As if it isn't difficult enough of an adjustment for kids!! haha- i hope they were joking!

Vader means father in Dutch. They were probably going through the language book: "pater, pere, padre, pai, vater, vader, otyets, fu, abaji, nne, aba, ..."
